A92: Obstructions due to construction measures

Work on renewing the carriageway and 13 underpasses in the direction of Munich has been completed. The Freising-Ost junction in the direction of Deggendorf is closed until the end of August. Since 19 July, work has been underway on the fundamental renewal of the motorway on the carriageway in the direction of Deggendorf. Between the end of August and mid-October, the Erding and Freising-Ost junctions will be closed several times for two to three weeks, while the other junction will be opened.

Excellent connections

Munich Airport is around 30 kilometers north-east of the Munich city center. It is situated in the Erdinger Moos district, just to the south of the city of Freising. The airport can be reached by road from the north, east and south via the A92 autobahn and the B301 regional road. From the west it is accessible via the A92 autobahn, followed by the St2084 and St2584 regional roads.

Please note: 

Especially on weekday mornings between 7:00 and 8:30 am and afternoons between 4:00 and 6:00 pm, rush hour back-ups and delays are possible on the autobahn and access roads. Be sure to allow extra time for your journey.

The S1 and S8 S-Bahn lines connect the airport to the Munich city center at 10-minute intervals. The S1 travels via the west of the city and the S8 via the east. The trip to the main railway station at the city center takes approx. 35 minutes.

The S-Bahn stops at two stations at the airport:

Besucherpark

  • P41, P80, P81 parking areas
  • Visitors Park (“Besucherpark”)
  • Administration, freight forwarding companies, etc.

Flughafen München

  • Terminal 1 and 2
  • Final station on the S1 and S8 lines
  • 10 minute intervals
  • Duration: approx. 35 minutes

The Lufthansa Express Bus takes you every 15 minutes from Munich Central Station to Munich Airport and back. A one-way trip takes about 45 minutes.

You can get on and off at the following stations at Munich Airport:

  • Terminal 2
  • Terminal 1 / Modul A
  • Terminal 1 / MAC
  • Termial 1 / Modul D (Endhaltestelle)
  • Departure: every 15 minutes
  • Duration: about 45 minutes
  • Four stops at the airport

Flixbus connects Munich Airport with numerous locations in Germany and Europe.

The bus stops for long-distance buses at Munich Airport are just a few steps from Terminal 2 at bus stops 21 and 22. Terminal 1 is only a 5 to 10 minute walk away. Please follow the signs.

There are regional trains between Freising and the following cities:

  • Landshut
  • Regensburg
  • Passau

Between Freising and the airport please use the bus line 635 or the airport express train ÜFEX.

The Airport express ÜFEX stops at the final train station “Flughafen München” (between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) and directly connects the following cities with Munich Airport:
